Whitepaper
Technical overview of Vice Terminal architecture, tokenomics, and the 80/20 Dacity reward model.
Abstract
Vice Terminal is a community-built Solana trading workstation that combines real-time market intelligence with a verifiable token holder reward system. It tracks markets via Solana Tracker, verifies holdings via Helius RPC, and distributes rewards to qualifying holders through an on-chain claim mechanism.
80% of all creator fees collected from Vice Terminal coins are swapped to Dacity ($DACITY) and distributed to eligible holders. The remaining 20% funds continued development, marketing, and infrastructure.
The problem
Solana's memecoin and DeFi landscape moves fast. Traders need real-time data on new launches, trending tokens, volume spikes, and liquidity shifts. Most existing tools are either generic, paywalled, or scattered across multiple sites.
Meanwhile, token projects struggle to reward genuine holders. Airdrop farming, sybil attacks, and snapshot manipulation make it difficult to distribute value to people who actually hold and believe in a project.
What Vice Terminal does
Vice Terminal addresses both sides. On the market intelligence side, it proxies Solana Tracker data through a clean terminal interface with search, sort, and per-token detail with DexScreener chart embeds. All token links go directly to pump.fun for trading.
On the reward side, it runs a backend that caches holder data from Helius, verifies minimum balance thresholds, and collects creator fees every minute via PumpPortal. Eligible holders claim Dacity on the Vault page after solving a captcha.
Architecture
Frontend
- Built with Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS
- Market data refreshes automatically on a short interval
- API keys are kept server-side and never exposed to the browser
Backend
- Separate service handling holder verification and reward claims
- Holder cache refreshes every 2 minutes from on-chain data via Helius
- Claim history and cooldowns are persisted in a database
On-chain flow
- Creator fees are collected automatically every minute via PumpPortal
- 80% of collected SOL is swapped to Dacity and kept in the vault until a holder claims
- 20% is retained for development, marketing, and infrastructure
- Eligible holders claim $DACITY on the Vault page after solving hCaptcha
- Every claim is logged with its transaction signature
Tokenomics
The project operates with two token roles and a transparent fee split.
Project token (Vice Terminal)
- The token holders are verified against for reward eligibility
- Minimum holding threshold: 1,000,000 tokens
- Holdings are checked on-chain via Helius RPC, not self-reported
- Holder tier system: Whale (1M+), Shark (500K+), Dolphin (100K+), Fish (below threshold)
Reward token (Dacity)
- Dacity ($DACITY) is the token distributed to eligible holders on claim
- Sourced through Jupiter swap from 80% of collected creator fee SOL
- Not pre-minted or pre-allocated — rewards come from real fee revenue
- Mint: nxPqZ4F7ux8Vph5NFu25rEP6Kx9Gr1U6Fmj36Rjpump
Creator fee split
- 8080% of all creator fees → swapped to Dacity and distributed to Vice Terminal holders
- 2020% of all creator fees → retained for development, marketing, and infrastructure
- —Fees are collected every minute; holders claim their share on the Vault page
- —Holders can verify the vault's SOL and Dacity balances on the Vault page
Reward mechanics
The claim flow is designed to be transparent and rate-limited. All rewards come from real creator fee revenue, not inflation or pre-minted supply.
Eligibility
- 01Wallet must hold at least 1,000,000 Vice Terminal project tokens
- 02Balance is checked against the cached holder list refreshed every 2 minutes
- 03If the cache is stale or the wallet is not found, the claim is rejected
Claim process
- 01User submits wallet address and solves a captcha
- 02Backend verifies captcha, checks cooldown, and confirms eligibility
- 03Dacity is transferred to the claimant's wallet from the vault
- 04Rank 1 is excluded. Each claim is logged with its transaction signature
- 05Each claim is logged with its transaction signature and timestamp
Rate limiting
- One claim per wallet per 60 minutes
- hCaptcha prevents bot claims
- IP address is logged but not rate-limited (one household may have multiple wallets)
Vault
Vault shows real-time reward pool balances: SOL (unclaimed creator fees), Dacity tokens ready to distribute, and combined creator fees across Vice Terminal coins.
This transparency lets holders verify the pool's health and track fee collection in real time.
Security model
What is protected
- All API keys are server-side only, never exposed to the browser
- The vault private key is stored as an environment variable, never in source code
What is not claimed
- Vice Terminal does not custody user funds
- Vice Terminal does not require wallet connection or signing
- Holder verification is read-only — the backend reads on-chain state but never requests transaction approval
- The claim flow sends Dacity to the user. It does not withdraw from the user
Deployment
The frontend is deployed as a static site with serverless API routes. The backend runs as a standalone service. All sensitive keys are stored as environment variables and never appear in source code or client bundles.
